Summary: The Best Of An Author I Do Not Care For
Comment: I am not a Fitzgerald fan. This book was given to me as a gift. I did enjoy it moderately, but I found this short story collection to be a bit flowery, self-indulgent, and narcissistic. There is an excess of introspection by the characters, as well as unnecessary detail. I would say that I liked this collection more than the other Fitzgerald works I had to read as a student, which I felt had the same flaws I cited above, but to a greater degree. Give me a Steinbeck anyday.

Summary: best fitzgerald short story collection
Comment: Even though this title appears to be out-of-print, I highly recommend taking Amazon's offer to track one down for you. It is by far Fitzgerald's best collection of shorter work, ranging from his younger Bazil stories to his more mature "semi-Hollywood" work. It also displays his various abilities with modernist literature (viz. the title story) that marks him as a writer truly ahead of his age.
