Summary: perfect for starting writers and advanced students
Comment: This is the perfect book for young writers 6th grade through high school. Comprised of five self-contained units, the Handbook guides us through a complete creative writing course, with instruction in narrative, short fiction, and poetry writing.

A fundamental teaching tool for starting writers, each unit is framed in learning the basics of solid writing, while relying on the writer's personal experience and inherent creativity to craft an inspirational piece of work. The Handbook encourages self-confidence and an honest writing voice. It is also useful for older students, with thorough reviews in proofreading, revision, and correct word and style usage.

Summary: Must-have for new writers
Comment: Although this is not the thriller type of book that I usually enjoy it was a tremendous help with my writing. The book gave me excellent guidelines and tips and the incentive to finish one of my stories. This was a great start to my career and I can not thank Jay Amberg enough for writing it. I reccomend this book to anyone starting a writing career, or someone who just likes to write, it will give your writing direction.
