Summary: Most complete resource I've found
Comment: If a homeschooling parent buys only one book to use as a guideline, it should be this book. Thorough, complete, friendly and packed full of great resources (websites, books, learning tools, etc.), this book has become my constant reference.

Summary: Better Than The Well Trained Mind
Comment: This book has received much less publicity than it should have. It is an excellent resource that takes you from preschool through highschool using the "normal" standards schools use and citing resources you can obtain (most through your library) to help your child learn what they should. Instead of textbooks (some are recommended especially for math), the author recommends quality books, games, websites to make learning the adventure it should be. Excellent. I'm so glad I bought it.

Comment: It's great to have this much information all in one place. Lots of resource ideas and concepts as they are typicaly presented. What should your third grader know about math?? It's in this book.

Very helpful info about art, music, science, and history too.

Great book. A have to have for every homeschooler.
