Summary: Great, Down to Earth Book
Comment: Every recipe here has been a hit with my dog. She loves the food and I feel good feeding to to her. The author is sensible, not giving recipes with hard to find ingredients. This is the best cookbook for my dog I have found.

Summary: Almost pushed me back to commercial pet food!!!!!!
Comment: Having decided to move to a home cooked diet for my dog, I picked up several canine nutrition and recipe books, including this one. From all other books purchased, I have had tremendous success, but with this book, complete and utter disaster. If you are looking for a book that provides good background and justification for steering clear of commercial pet food, this book does a good job, however, the recipes were VERY unpopular in my house, the food combinations included in the recipes caused both me as the cook and my Dog as the diner to physically gag a couple of times when I attempted to serve. The author of this book claims she and her dogs frequently dine on the same recipes......that is quite a scary thought to me, as these recipes tasted dreadful to both me and most importantly my dog. There are much better books available if you are looking for wholesome, fragrant, flavoful recipes to feed your pups!

Comment: There was some really good information in this book. There weren't as many recipes as I would have liked but the recipes they have are excellent. Many of the recipes are geared to dogs that have heart problems or arthritis, etc. which was excellent for me. Excellent for anyone that does home cooking all the time for their dog because it is geared for a weeks supply.
