This book is intended for school kids and with useful teacher's guide of tips of projects and activities, which is useful for all people. Images are in black and white, with short description of each region's designs. Columns named "Symbols and their meanings" are quite interesting.

I felt "Japanese Designs" are not traditional Japanese, but rather "oriental" to a Japanese' eyes and I wonder what other people of each region would think about "their region's designs." Still it will be great source for crafts and imagination.
