Summary: Stunning proof that there is an after-life.
Comment: The stories in this book will give you the chills. These people came back from near death experiences knowing things that they could not have known if they had been in their bodies. The author is a respected physician, not a wacko. The things his patients told him convinced him that there is a God, a heaven, AND a hell. At a critical moment of my life, this book convinced me not to commit suicide

Summary: Toward the Light? Better check Your light!
Comment: For those that believe that everyone who dies will "go to the light" MUST read this book! Not everyone goes to Heaven! These are actual testimonies of people who have died and have gone to Hell and those that have gone to Heaven. Not sure where you'll go? This book reveals the Truth about where you go and why. It's not how good or how bad you've been - there's more to it than that. Have a friend that's not sure where they're going? This book could be the key to revealing death's truths that can save souls and take away some of the fears of death so that a fuller life can be lived. I've given a number of copies away and everyone has expressed sincere gratitude for showing them "The True Light".

Summary: Good subject matter, badly written
Comment: Even though I am an evangelical Christian, I hesitate to refer this book to anybody, not because the subject matter is false, but because it's badly written. It has only a few stories about life after death (less that half the book), is very disjointed, and lacks order.

I found "The Final Frontier" and "Beyond The Final Frontier" by Richard Kent et al to be much better laid out. They each contained 20+ experiences, with little to no fluff. If this book had been laid out like that, with just Dr. Rawlings' experiences and some transitional material between chapters, it would have been much better. "Beyond Death's Door" should be rewritten so that it's better organized.
