Summary: Good book for Numerical Methods Class
Comment: I had previously sat in on a Numerical Analysis class, and I have to say that this book was much better than the one that we were forced to use. The examples were clear, and the text focused much less on proofs and more on how to do problems and calculate their error. The sample programs on disk were also thorough, and included in several different languages (c, fortran, pascal, maple, mathematica, & matlab).
