Summary: Captivating and first rate!
Comment: I was moved to tears by Global Change and Terrestrial Ecosystems. As a practicing particle physicist and former resident of Biosphere 2 in the beautiful Arizona desert, I understood exactly where the author was coming from. This book presents a heartfelt unbiased account of the rise and fall of a civilization doomed to repeat whatever mistakes that it refuses to learn from. The science may be dubious, but there's no denying the author's gorgeous prose and sympathetic emotive prejudices. It reads like a fabulously woven tapestry of compelling psychodrama and is probably the best novel I've read in a long time. Thank you for writing this book! It totally made my day!
