Summary: The most valuable pre-med book I have ever read.
Comment: The Danek team of mother and daughter have created an invaluable book for anyone that is interested in pursuing medicine. Marita Danek offers her counceling expertise, while Jennifer fills the pages with her pre-medical and medical experience. The result is an astonishingly simple-to-read guide that discusses the requirements for admission, choosing a medical school, medical trends and specialties, but most importanty, the guide offers questions for the reader to decide whether medicine is truly the path he/she wants to take. My only regret is that I had not read this book prior to or during college.

Comment: This was a well thought out and informative book. The authors not only go into the "right" reasons to become a doctor, but also the whole ordeal from pre-med to medical school. Worth every penny.

Summary: Good only if your just starting your research
Comment: I found this book pretty superficial. It includes a lot of common sense ancedotes that, if you've done much research at all, will sound very repetitive.

It was a fast and boring read for me. If you want to read about being a physician Becoming a Doctor or Intern Blues are lot more meaty. And there's several better books about getting into medical school too.
