Summary: A darkly erotic psychological thriller
Comment: Lets just start by saying I read this 451 page novel in less than 36 hours it was so intriguing. Quite a feat for me, if it wasn't good I would have lost interest at 225 and put it down, but it was was an exciting, erotic read full of debauchery, death, and hope.

The book opens to a prologue introducing Bernedette Kane and her friend Eric Killen who are protecting her sister Peggy's honor in school. Years latter Peggy committs suicide over an extra marital affair but something doesn't feel right for Bernedette. Bernedette decides to find out if her sister was murdered or psychologically wounded to the point of suicide. Whatever it was she is on mission to find out. She goes on the only clue she has , her sister told her is first name and said he had a corporate jet.

She gets Eric to track down the plane and the name an comes up with a CEO of Oar Research named Wesley Edwards. Upon talking her way into a job at Oar she discovers Wesley doesn't seem to be what she originally thought but is still determined to find the truth but discovers something all together different.........

The book has several characters that are very interesting. Diana and Damien are the source of all the sexual debauchery and depravity. Their antics were cruel, dangerous, and involved many innocent people. They also were extremely exciting to read. Their anitcs also gave a look at S&M gone completely off kilter. They cared only for their own sexual release.

Over all the book demonstrates through many twists and turns that all relationships need some degree of love and hope to sustain and last. And I certainly felt an underlining tone of faith.

This is a fast paced book with lots of action, sex, death, and hope. You will be guessing all the way through it. I did.

Summary: Expect the unexpected.
Comment: Having to start my Brook's reading with Serpent's Dance and go backwards to his other two books, I was amazed at how well crafted each story was, and how daring Brook's was to stray away from the norm in this third writing. To tackle a subject as taboo as sexual deviancy is one thing, but to do it in such an erotic, exciting and fast paced way shows true, masterful writing. Brook's has broached a subject that none of us likes to admit we are curious about, yet we lose ourselves in the pages of Serpent's Dance because we can't get enough. This is a book to read and then read again...and I will do just that.

Summary: DARK, CRUDE, NASTY!!
Comment: After reading the first two books by this writer, I was eager to read his third book. What a major disappointment! I was stunned!! This book made me sick to my stomach, it is dark, crude, and nasty! Yuck! Brooks, should go back to what he does best which is suspense and leave the other stuff alone. In my opinion he goes too far at times in his effort to be different.
