Summary: I didn't think anything could be better than the movie...
Comment: What a great book! This was the first book that I have ever read voluntarily, and I'm glad I did. I read it in 2 days, often taking long baths/short sleeps to get more reading in. I read this book after watching the movie, and I am now going to see the movie again. I found myself thinking that Jackson/Miller wouldn't die, and also discovered many new things that slipped by me in the movie, such as the German soldier who killed Miller was Upham's 'friend', I was pleased to see Upham finally take someone out, for such a good cause...If you haven't read this book/seen the movie, I suggest you watch movie, read book, and watch movie again. This was very effective for me, and I am now re-reading the book again to pick up some more stuff I might have missed. I would like to congratulate and thank the author for creating such a great book, and making it so visual and realistic!

Summary: Incredible story
Comment: Only being a novelization of the film, I was seriously impressed. Though lacking the incredible effects of the motion picture, the book tells a more detailed story of the men and their lives. You actually get to know some of them, where they come from, etc. Things that did not make sense in the movie started to make sense in the book. Max Allan Collins did a wonderful job of conveying emotional scenes, as well. I fought myself for dry eyes several times while reading.
If you liked Saving Private Ryan, the movie, read this book. You'll see what I mean.
