Summary: Tuck Everlasting
Comment: Tuck Everlasting
The book Tuck Everlasting written by Natalie Babbitt, is a great book. Natalie grew up in Ohio. She spent most of her spare time reading fairy tales, and drawing. This inspired her to write stories.
Tuck everlasting is a fantasy book filled with fun surprises, and questions. Winnie Foster is walking through the forest, when she runs into what looks like a seventeen-year boy named Jesse. Jesse gets into a conversation with Winnie. Jesse tells Winnie about a magic spring that will let you live forever if you drink from it.
Jesse may look seventeen, but really he's one hundred four years old, that's because he drank from the spring.
Jesse brings Winnie to the spring. The spring looks beautiful. Very nice flowers, and tall trees surround it. The spring may be beautiful, but not everything about it is. The old proverb, All that glitters is not gold" is illustrated throughout the story. "It's shimmering with light and possibility" says Winnie, thinking everything's good about it. Not everybody knows the springs dark side.
Winnie is a great person. She wouldn't tell even a fly about the spring, but when a stranger follows her to the spring. Everything changes. The secret is out. The stranger wants to put the spring on the market. To find out what happens to Winnie and Jesse, you'll have to read this great book.

Summary: An amazing, poignant book for all ages
Comment: In my humble opinion, Tuck Everlasting is one of the greatest children novels of all time. Although it is classically categorized as a book for children, and I've acknowledged is as such, I consider it deep enough and beautiful enough for all ages to enjoy. The tough questions it touches on, like immortality, human greed and death, and the non-condescending but beautiful way it goes about them is really touching and though-provoking, especially since the people of its target age audience are probably just beginning to think about those sorts of things. Babbit's imagery is wonderful, but not too ornate and doesn't take away from the story. The story flows simple and real, and the characters have so much depth you can picture them perfectly. The whole story, and the quiet but significant ending really touched me and made me cry and I read it for the first time at the age of 16. I suggest this book for all children able to read it, as well as their parents.

Summary: A must read.
Comment: I believe Tuck Everlasting is a must read book. Especially if you love fantasy and a good story. I used this book for school and read a chapter a day. The thing that always upset me, was that the chapters were so short! I wanted to find out what happened next each time. I highly suggest this book to anyone who wants to read it.
