Summary: Truly Magnificent
Comment: Kelli Hatfield has just returned to Washington, DC after spending several years with the NYC police force. She decides, this one time, to throw caution to the wind and have a one night stand with the handsome man she meets in a local cop hangout.
David McCoy is known as the Casanova Cop. He's stunned to find that the woman he met and bedded the night before is none other than his newly-assigned partner!
Kelli tries to smooth things over by telling David she'll act as if that night never happened. David says "nothing doing" as he'd like nothing other than to pick up where they left off.
But Kelli knows what would happen should her father find out she was dating the son of his old nemesis and doesn't want to take the risk. However, the heart has a way of washing away all resolve.
When a series of sex crimes results in the death of a woman, Kelli volunteers for the task force, thinking not only will she help find the DC Exterminator, as he's become known, but she also has something personal at stake. Her mother was killed by a similar sexual predator years ago - a crime which remains unsolved.
Tori Carrington pulls out all the stops in this seductive story of nonstop action and sexy repartee. Although this is #3 of four books in the Magnificent McCoy Men series, the books stands on its own quite nicely and the reader never feels lost.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable read from start to finish. It's recommended for anyone wanting a quick, satisfying read, and a darned good story.

Comment: Police working the capital district know that anyone who serves as partner to David McCoy deserves hazardous duty pay. His last partner, Lupe Ramirez is just starting physical therapy to help her learn to walk with a reconstructed knee. At the renowned DC "cop bar" Pour House, David sees newcomer Kelli Hatfield who spots him at the same time....
YOU ONLY LOVE TWICE, the fourth "Magnificent McCoy Men" tale, is a wonderful contemporary police procedural romance. The fun is in observing the lead characters battle in the precinct, on the job, and in the boudoir. The return of other McCoy siblings add to the completeness of the story line as the audience gains insight into what makes David such a risk taker on the job and why he fears relationships beyond an evening or two. Anyone who has not read the tales of David's older brothers will seek out Tori Carrington's previous tales because the author is the real McCoy when it comes to entertaining novels.
