Comment: The Little Red Cabose is a story about a red cabose that is always at the end of the train. He is really sad about being last all the time. I think that this book is really good for kids around the ages 6 and under. It really teaches kids that being the last is not always bad.

Summary: Little Red Caboose- Worth It
Comment: In the days of Thomas the Tank Engine and the decline of the caboose on trains, I enjoy reading this one to my little three year old son. He loves all trains, but it is nice to be able to let him learn about cabooses, how they used to always be red and now how they aren't used anymore. It's a sweet little book and he enjoys it and asks for it.

Summary: The Little Red Caboose
Comment: I first purchased this book in the late 1970's when my son was just a toddler. He loved it so much that it was not uncommon for his grandmother or me to repeat the reading several times each day. In time he was able to fill in the blanks and finish the sentences on each page as though he were reading to us!! It's a classic, and I'm so thrilled that it's still available for other little ones to enjoy in their lives. I'm now reading this same treasure to my three grandchildren who love it as much as their father and I had. In fact they look for the little red caboose on every train that passes when they visit Grammy. So many valuable lessons are contained in the story, especially one of perseverance and self-esteem. I will always treasure this book.
