Comment: Mr. MacDonald, has done an excellent job with this long standing classic about the War in Europe. He points out the humble beginnings from which the US Army started, how its mobilization came to be, the politics which affected the war, and much more. His subject is presented in such a manner that the reader does not become bogged down in to many deatials, but at the same time the book proves to be very educational. His presentation is both clear and concise,and his writing style keeps you interested in the subjects covered. Overall its a great book for anyone who wants either an introduction to the war in Europe or else to those with knowledge of the subject but want to learn more.
