Summary: wonderful description of Korean immigrant families
Comment: I've long searched for a book like this since I started graduate school about 5 years ago. It's a wonderfully rich qualitative work examining family relations, including children, parents, and the elderly. This book has served me well in better understanding Korean immigrant families. I was especially impressed with his writing on marital relations among Korean immigrant spouses. I offer my highest recommendation for anyone who wants to get a taste of immigrant family life in Asian America.
