Summary: Entertaining & Thought-Provoking
Comment: Jerry Walls deserves four stars for this book for the following reason: this book is simply interesting and inovative. He's taken a largely neglected issue and attempted to show how it has significance for our lives now, as well as defended its cogency. Part of his worry is that the doctrine of hell has been attacked on several fronts (see his book, Hell: The Logic of Damnation) and he believes, correctly, that heaven is next on the hit list.
Walls brings up the relevance of personal identity, near-death experiences, questions about who will be in heaven, what it takes to get into heaven, and the relevance of heaven for our moral beliefs. He also goes out on limb and argues for a type of inclusivism (at least he thinks it is) and a form of purgatory.
I think this book suffers has serious flaws in each and every chapter, but believe this is an interesting book and nevertheless would be worth having if you are going to be thinking about the topic of heaven. At the very least, it raises and helpfully summarizes the issues involved.

Summary: Real "Heaven" Book!!!
Comment: At Last, I finally found a book on heaven with realistic, objective, and fair perspectives. This is not only inspiring but more than that: It recovered my vision of heaven. This book is a THROUGH and fair study of heaven. I feel like I can finally rest from the confusion about heaven but rest in the real Heaven (eternal joy). My sincere admiration resides in the fact that someone wrote such a book to capture the reality and the power of the Eternity!
