Summary: A wonderful fantasy series!
Comment: I read the Enchanted Forest Chronicles when I was very young, and I'm glad that I did! It was my first fantasy series I ever read, and it was as addicting then as it is now, and I'm in college! (This new boxed set is such a treat, it was so hard finding good copies of every book!) It's perfect reading for anyone of any age, and it has such a wonderful story and great characters. I recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy!

Summary: Young Adult Must-Read!
Comment: I loved Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest Series when I read it in middle school! Fortunately, I came across this series in someone's wishlist! I am going to buy the boxed series not only for myself but for my sister-in-law who will turn 14 next month!

The book "Dicey's Song" by Cynthia Voight also holds awesome memories for me from my early teenage years. Both the Enchanted Forest Series and Dicey's Song are must-reads for girls growing up:) (The vocabulary/reading level is definately young adult)

I'm also told that "Holes" by Louis Sachar is very good for teens-though I have not read it.

Patricia Wrede succeeds in taking your imagination on a journey much like C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia in which you are swept into the lives of the characters and the beauty of the imaginary world. The princess befriends a dragon and her friendliness towards the dragon becomes endearing.

I wish my memory served me better but I know this at least: Every book in the Enchanted Forest Series is worth sharing and I wish I could give Wrede's series a 6!

Summary: loved it
Comment: i read this series a loooong time ago (years ago), and since then, i have never failed to read the entire series at least once a year... it is that good. although it is meant for YA readers, older readers will undoubtedly fall in love with it; i can assure you i have.
