Summary: Not half as brilliant as it should be
Comment: You know, it's a real shame that this book isn't funnier than it is. Somewhere out there, legions of ten-year-olds are chanting my name and wanting blood, but it's true. I cannot tell a lie. This book doesn't hold a candle to Scieszka and Lane's true children's classics like, "The Stinky Cheese Man". It blushes in the face of their inspired "Math's Curse". What went wrong here? Great illustrator. Great author. Put them together for a children's series and you get.... mildly amusing banter and a short plot that stops before it even begins. Oy yoy yoy, say I. So I'm not a fan, and that's okay too. There are plenty of amusing series books out there for people such as myself. But what's my real objection? Well sir, it's just not as funny as I had hoped it would be. My expectations are too high, that's the problem. Will this book teach kids about King Arthur? Maybe. Maybe not. In any case, it's a droll little piece of fluff without much substance.

Summary: The book
Comment: This book is perfect for children ages 7-10. I thought this book interesting because the people in the book think they are enchanters and they have to fight a dragon, a giant and the black knight.
This book starts off with a confusing first chapter. It has them fighting the Black Knight but how did they get there? Who are they? Where are they? All these questions go through your mind when you read it. Fortunately, the second chapter answers all these questions.
The Knights of the Kichen Table is about three boys named Joe, Sam and Fred. Joe is having a birthday day party with his friends, Sam and Fred. He opens his uncle, the magician's present and inside it's a book. When they open the book they get sucked into it. They find themselves in more trouble every time the speak.
I wouldn't tell you if they make it out or not. I guess you will have to read the book.

Summary: Who Says Nobody Writes Books for Guys?
Comment: Joe, Fred, and Sam find themselves in the land and time of King Arthur, fighting a black knight, a giant, and a dragon. And it all started with a simple present at Joe's birthday party - a book from his uncle the magician that the boys "accidentally" used. But how will the trio get back???
This first book in the Time Warp Trio series is an imaginative, humorous, adventurous book for kids (not just boys) ages 7-11. Everything about the book spells pure fun! The only problem with starting the Time Warp series? You'll want to read them all. So why not do just that?
