Summary: One of the best textbooks available
Comment: I read this book in preparation for my Ph.D. Qualifying Examinations in Materials Science Engineering. It is one of the best textbooks I have ever read, and the only one I have read from cover to cover. The material is covered at an even pace, with lots of equations and figures to help the text. The page layout is great with text, figures, and other data spaced evenly throughout. The book is easy enough for undergraduate students to read, yet it contains enough data for practicing engineers to use as a reference.
