Title: The A+ Certification Success Guide for Computer Technicians: For Computer Technicians by Sarah T. Parks, Bob Kalman ISBN: 0-07-048596-8 Publisher: Computing McGraw-Hill Pub. Date: October, 1996 Format: Paperback Volumes: 1 List Price(USD): $29.95 |
Average Customer Rating: 1.82 (22 reviews)
Rating: 1
Summary: Too bad a rating of "zero" is not available ...
Comment: I've never felt so cheated after buying a book. It was poorly written and poorly edited. Also, the authors place too many "war stories" in the text and not enough of the technical details needed for the A+. Luckily, I passed the test recently (no thanks to this book).
Rating: 4
Summary: Good book, nice illustrations.
Comment: I think it is a pretty good book, it includes pictures for both the hardware and software sections of the book.
Rating: 1
Summary: Disorder and Early Sorrow.
Comment: A fitting description for this book, even though it is also the name of one of Thomas Mann's novellas. This book should not have even been published, because it is confusing, misleading and contains some outright errors. A scandalous waste of time. Don't even read it from the library. Use other guides. Even "A+ For Dummies" is better than this waste of trees.
