Summary: Great for beginners + helpful info for exp'd writers too
Comment: This book has contributed well to the professional growth of my technical writing intern. I assign her a chapter or two to read weekly, plus assignments from the writing projects at the end of each chapter. It provides an active, results-oriented training program well suited for the beginner writer.

Practical rather than overly academic, this book also includes good material for the experienced technical writer. I'm particularly impressed by the chapter on collaborative writing. It's nice to see a real-world technical communications book!
