Comment: As an IT professional (on the technical side) I was expecting something more from the "management" people who wrote this book.
After a degree in Computer Science and four years of experience on the field I turned to this book to get a view of the tools and techniques for managing IT in business, and I must say my curiosity was not satisfied.
What's missing in my opinion is a solid theoretical basis for the assertions they make about IT management, this is probably not a fault of the authors but something we are still missing at all.
On the descriptive side the cases illustrated are rather interesting, but the authors often tend to oversimplify what happens in the real world.
I suppose we'll have to wait some more years to get a clear understanding of how this kind of things must be managed.
